New Publications available

Disability Safe has produced two new publications for the Disability Sector.

The first is a Job Dictionary.  A job dictionary is a detailed breakdown of the demands of a range of positions within the sector.  It can be used as a pre-employment tool to assist if determining if an applicant has the capacity to perform the work of the position.  It can also be used when negotiating suitable duties with a treating doctor after a work related injury.  The Dictionary is in word format so you can modify to suit specific roles within your organisation, add photos etc. prior to send to the doctor.

The second publication is a safe driving handbook.  Vehicle accidents create a major cost not only due to vehicle damage sustained and the potential for staff or client injuries.  The handbook is an aid in the training which should be undertaken with both employees and volunteers whether using work or personal vehicles for work purposes.  You can add to the booklet any relevant specific procedures.  You can print in booklet format by going to the properties setting in the print menu and under layout select booklet.

Finally we have developed a newsletter known as the Disability Safety Update which you are welcome to print off in booklet format and circulate.
